Visioneer Strobe XP300

The Visioneer Strobe XP300 offers duplex scanning in a small, lightweight package.

Duplex scanning. Portable. Small enough to sit between a keyboard and monitor for quick, easy use. Bundled with PaperPort scanning and document-management program.

Sheet-fed only, making it a poor choice for scanning photos. No automatic document feeder.

Do not buy

Have had 2 DocketPost scanners from Ambir, thought this was the same, it was not. I have a busy optometric office and this scanner slowed us down with constant mis feeds and blank scans.

Duplex scanning, one touch interface

Keeps jamming, does not hold calibration, will not scan consistently

Seeing is believing...

I called Newegg and complained about the various issues. THe lady agreed to waive the restocking fee and issued an RMA. there must be too many ppl complaining.

Small footprint, compact design

Being a long time user of the Strobe product, all the way up to XP 200, I really loved it. however this XP 300 is a major disappointment. it has all the negatives ppl mentioned in the reviews (how naive that I didn't want to believe)--paper jam w/ the...

A Giant Leap Backwards

Unable to adjust feed delay - causes 'hair trigger' effect and many many misfeeds.

Disappointing

This is the worst scanner I have ever owned (including several previous Visioneer sheetfed scanners). Better alternatives are the other Visioneer Strobes or the Plustek OpticSlim M12, all costing less.

Scans in color and on both sides of the page. Comes with Paperport software package, an excellent document management program

Weak integration with Paperport software makes this a step back from any previous Visioneer sheet-fed scanner. Agree with other reviewers that the poor paper handling is a major impediment, often requiring several tries to get a good scan. Only really...

Poort paper handling

Very small footprint. I really like Paperport (which is supplied with this) and have used it for years. Duplex ability. I owned a similar scanner years ago and it worked well. Includes multi oulet adapters for international travel, however useless for...

Regardless of the paper being fed, the rollers would not always grip the paper and it would slip causing distorted images. It does come with sheets it enclosed an odd shaped form...I would find it tiresome to use it on many things

Frustrating to set up, frustrating to use

Small, seems well built, can run off USB port power. Does duplex scans.

Can't feed paper straight. Always overscans top of page.Quirky software installation.

Frustrating to set up, frustrating to use

I was looking for a small footprint scanner I could have near my computer for an occasional page or two I wanted to scan and save or email. The specs and bundled software for this scanner looked good - fairly high resolution, duplex, color, good OCR ...
