i love it the only thing it does not pick up our local police

After working the scanner for 24 hrs the only things I was able to pick up was some cell phone chatter (big no no) and some baby monitors (another big no no). Couldn't get anything else.

The bearcat scanner is a good product. The police and ambulance that I have programmed in are very clear and easy to understand.

if you get the bearcat scanner it is really great. i would recemend it to anybody.

This scanner is ;picking up traffic from 100 miles away and it is not skip! If you want a scanner that is very sensitive, this is it. Not as good as the 1970's Bearcats but there was much less interference in those days also. I am a happy camper!!

First of all do not believe the q&a section. This radio does NOT pick up 800mhz trunk systems, that most modern police/fire/ems use. 460 mhz is about as high as it will go! This was a waste of shipping, as well as time. I will never buy a product like...

only noise i got was the noaa weather on 6 bands. could not unmuffle even the local rent a cops radio. sent it back for a 12.00 lesson. going shopping for the big boys toy.

this scanner is everything i wanted plus more. not to complicated to set up and program, crystal clear reception with an overall remarkable sound quality i would recommend this scanner for anyone wanting to start their own hobby.
