Setup was quick and easy. Paper misfeeds are rare. Too bad this item became deactivated a week after I bought it. On the bright side I found a PlusTek machine that works just as well if not better than this one, at a lesser cost

Although this isn't the scanner's fault, be warned that although the scanning speed of 15 sheets per minute (B&W, 300 dpi) seems accurate, depending on the speed of your computer it will take a lot longer to actually digitize documents.

I bought this at a deep discount from Newegg in June of 2010 and have scanned more than a thousand pages. It has taken a number of ragged-edged, creased-and-unfolded and old-and-brittle pages without complaint, and I can't blame it for the couple it...

My only complaint would be that it isn't what it isn't -- a larger, office-model scanner that would accept 100 sheets or more at a time so that I wouldn't have to constantly feed it and could do something else while it scanned
