Works good...surely it was Plug and Play (nice thing about it)
just hard to pinpoint when it comes to multiple barcodes

This is our second Metrologic scanner MK9520 - Will only buy this brand as they just work and work and work.
No setting or configuration required, works great with my point of sale software
Its not free

This is my 2nd case from NZXT and they are the best. I could buy the Cooler Master Haf 932 but this case was "love at first sight" Buy it :D Seriously...paint work is awesome, the case is big enough for cable management or 5970 video cards, tinted...
We bought two scanners. Both scanned great right out of the box with no set up needed for our purposes. Scans well with white tags
The scanner doesn't like certain color tags b ut white or light has been fine
Consumer review (newegg.com)
The spiral cable makes it difficult to work with when the computer is below inside a cabinet and the scanner on top. the cable kind of pulls the scanner.
Worked right out of the box

Excellent device for retail work-- reads bar codes very well. Very easy to set up and plug-and-play is excellent. Great product at a good price
Sensor activated which means you cannot press a button for the laser to activate on its own

Selected this scanner based on previous user reviews. Newegg shipped immediately as usual.
Have been using the scanner for close to 2 months now. Easy setup, works well. Using it for gift cards at retail business with Windows Vista. Doesn't look or feel cheap. Good quality product

does well on white labels
i don't know yet how others scanners in this price range do with gray labels, but this one having problems, it has to be close and directly over it. and usb cord is coiled, that's good, but very stiff, no point to make it curly if it doesn't stretch

I thought maybe I got a defected one. But after reading the other reviews, it looks like most of these scanners are not that great.
Good scanner, while it lasted
Bought two of these back in March 08 ($125 each) ; did not start really using them until the end of 2008. One stopped working properly - takes about 5 tries before it is able to scan the code. The other one still works [knocks on wood
