Livescribe's Sky Wi-Fi smartpen automatically synchronises notes and audio to Evernote
Built-in Wi-Fi for easy sync ; Easy to use and setup ; Good quality recorder
Expensive ; Evernote integration is buggy ; Poor battery life with Wi-Fi on
The Livescribe Sky wifi smartpen is an improvement over its predecessor thanks to built-in Wi-Fi connectivity that synchronises recorded notes and audio to Evernote. While the core functionality of the Sky wifi remains as impressive as ever, the buggy...

Livescribe unleashes new Echo smartpen Livescribe outs the Sky WiFi Smartpen Smartpen leads to airport chaos For a relatively niche company that has only been around for five years, Livescribe has grown quickly. Its smartpens -- which cleverly digitize...
Does something other devices can't ; Could save your life (or at least your career)
Expensive unless you come to depend on it ; Syncing often isn't smooth or reassuring ; Evernote's OCR could be more forgiving ; Cheaper Echo smartpen is still a good option
For a narrow group of people who insist on writing with pen and ink, and may forget to dock a non-WiFi smartpen often, the Sky's benefits may just outweigh its steep price and occasional glitches.

Livescribe's digital pens, which employ a unique combination of actual pen and voice recorder, have always been a top-notch way to take accurate notes, but the latest version, the Sky Wifi Smartpen, needs a bit more work.
Fuses written notes with voice recordings. Syncs automatically with Evernote via Wi-Fi.
Syncing eats up battery. Accessing notes in Evernote is confusing and clunky.
We'll revisit this review in a few months after the software is improved. I like where Livescribe is going, it justs need a little more time to get there.

For all that we're told to live digitally in the cloud, there are still plenty of people who rely on handwritten notes in a Moleskine or similar to keep their lives in order. Livescribe wants to build a bridge between paper and digital, and the new...
Livescribe’s smartpens always made sense for personal note taking, but they also demanded some extra degree of organization in use: remembering to plug them into your computer to sync, and then sharing them via the company’s awkward homegrown sharing...

Bought a Livescribe Wifi pen mid last year. The features on the pen that I needed were promised as being imminent so I bought the pen. 9 months later, there has been no further development on the product as the company is now focused on their latest...
Features that do work, work well
immature product, poor customer service, features not delivered.
