HP Scanjet 7650

The HP Scanjet 7650 can do it all—photos, slides, strips of film, and even multipage documents printed on both sides—thanks to its 50-page duplexing automatic document feeder.

Strong on OCR and document management. 50-sheet, duplexing ADF. Transparency adapter. Useful array of front-panel scan buttons. Twain, WIA, and ISIS drivers.

Doesn't batch-scan. Lacks features for removing scratches and dust from photos and slides. Transparency adapter is external to the scanner, attached by cable.

ADF D.O.A.

Software package is somewhat dumbed-down. In an attempt to make it "user-friendly" they seem to have created limitations when compared to past versions of the software. I have another one of these at another office and it works perfectly.

It scans

ADF was dead on arrival. Contacted HP tech support, after trying multiple resets they agreed with me. Sending back for replacement via newegg. Not expecting any trouble in doing so

Slow, software lock-ups

There are other brands you would be better to look into.

None

Have 3 of these for a tax office and TWAIN interface constantly lock up. Full system reboot required to correct issues. Office is going to discard these and replace this year due to total issues

Very Useful product

As a student, I use my scanner to scan a lot of documents for which I don't have the electronic versions. It keeps my work area pretty uncluttered, and I never run into the problem of losing my documents or having them become damaged.

Scans documents fast and well (good resolution, no streaks). I've only had one jam so far, and that was because I forgot to take out the stapler that was attaching the pages. Resolving this was easy- I took out the paper, and restarted the scanner, and...

Somewhat big and bulky. But this is because it's an ADF and a flatbed. So this was expected. Pages scan a little crookedly (off by < ; 1 degree), but I think this happens with many ADF scanners

AWFUL

Admitedly, this was an open box item.

AWFUL

Thanks to Newegg for RMA'ing this so quickly. I really appreciate working with them.

Excellent software bundle

Admitedly, this was an open box item. But the images for documents aren't white and black--they're grey and black or black and black. With each scan in a series, each doc gets darker until it finally gets completely black. Colors are totally wrong. I...

HP Scanjet 7650 L1940AB1H 48 bit CCD Scanner

I had 2 fairly minor problems, otherwise this seems to do exactly what I wanted. It was purchased to help turn file-cabinets full of documents into a couple of DVDs. The basic software that ships with it (CD1) works great for the task, and the duplex...

Not a bad little scanner

Document feeder works well. Able to scan into differnt formats. Higher resolutions are timely to scan.

HP Scanjet 7650n Networked Document Flatbed Scanner

Once you get this baby configured, it is very easy to use. Getting it configured is a bit time consuming and took a bit of fiddling around until the proper settings were stored in the included Axis branded document server. Scans to printer very well...
