A grade A excellent Scanner!

I bought this scanner because I needed something that could give my photos the best resolution possible and I couldn't have asked for any scanner to do a better job. The photos actually look better when scanned than they do in real life! Not to mention...

1200 dots per inch with 42-bit color!

Big for some but I like the size it can hold larger photos.

We love our scanner!

The HP Scanjet 5370c is a great upgrade from our previous scanner (a visioneer). The software is easy as can be to install and with just 2 cables easy to hookup to your computer.. I've especially enjoyed using the scanner (and I am not particularly...

Great ease of use...

Scanning slides with 5370C

Previously I used Nikon Coolscan III film scanner and was very happy with it. Recently I started to use a medium format camera, so I decided to give a try to a flatbed scanner that is capable of scanning transparencies.

A decent flatbed scanner.

I would desire better quality.

Move Over, Sliced Bread!

Easy to connect, easy to scan, pulls fantastic detail from 35mm slides.

Locating the scan "window" for slides can be a little tricky. Inaccurate Help documentation.

Surferdude7 has written an excellent review on this piece of machinery. (For some strange reason I didn't read it before purchasing). Rather than repeat what he said, I would refer you to his opinion for the technical specs and the software bundle that...

Good but not excellent

I only had the 5370 for one week, a friend gave it it me, I had to scan 3 rolls of 35mm negatives.

Good results, easy to use

too big, too slow

Almost everything expected

My opinion is skewed by the fact that I was looking for a scanner primarily to attach photos to emails. I had read about the Agfa snapscan e-50 but when I saw HP had a unit that worked with Windows 95 (many now require 98 or later) and the Mac, plus...

Performs standard scanner functions very well. Windows 95 and Mac compatible.

One step buttons not as automatic as advertised.
