Fujitsu SnapScan fi-5110EOX2 sheet-fed scanner Review and Prices

Fujitsu's ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2 is as easy to use as it is difficult to spell out. This sheet-fed document scanner has dual functionality as a business card scanner and works well at both.

Good speed, nicely priced

Can't scan bound material

Too good to be true, almost

It is so small I can carry it from home to my office. I have bought at least 4 other scanners in the past including sheetfed $1k monstrosities that didn't work out. I am literally reclaiming square footage. I would buy one for home, too, except the...

This machine is small. It is fast--just as advertised. Double sided page in a little over a second, B&W or color!. Jams occasionally, but I forgive it because I forget paperclips more often than it screws up. Good quality scans. The inclusion of Adobe...

Ugly filing software. Could have been better. NOT TWAIN COMPLIANT

Best thing since sliced bread

If you're looking for a quality fed scanner on a small budget this is the way to go. Now whenever a user wants acrobat I feel inclined to spend the extra $140 and get them the fujitsu.

I've bought 4 of these. They rock! Quick scans, ocr for business cards, pdf printing. a lot of bange for the buck especially since it is bundled with 200+ dollars of software

OCR on documents would be nice

Awesome little devil of a scanner

Absolute must for a paperless office.

Small footprint, design, speed, overall quality, reliability, simple to operate

Intrusive, inflexible, unprofessionally looking software

This thing rocks!

It just rocks. It's fast and generates crisp scans

No cons. Just great

Can't go wrong

Still need to find some good paperless organizing software. I think the misfeed gripes are true for any scanner. If your paper is to crisp or thin - its going to jam. Even if you hand feed one at a time it's still fast.

Fast, accurate, does "B" size drawings to small cash register receipts. Met the hype of previous reviews

Scanning is a bore

This scanner exceeds my expectations

This thing is amazing. It will change the entire way that I file and access records FOR THE BETTER. It will also eliminate the need for most of my filing cabinets. I did not encounter the misfeed problems mentioned by other reviewers. I did have...

Can scan anything of reasonable size and thickness in one pass quickly. The feeder is very robust, papers can be pretty roughed up or creased and it will still pull them in one sheet at a time. Can practically anything from 2" to 8.5" wide. Good...

It doesn't seem to auto size for custom sizes (what a tiny gripe) so that you have to set the size before scanning a custom size

Good, but software needs work

Quick scans; little bother during the scanning process

The software has a strangely DOS or at best Windows 3.1 feel to it. Though you can set the software to change the file name upon the completion of scanning (default is based on date), it won't take long files names with spaces. You have to use...

Works well when it doesn't jam.

Called Fujitsu CSR and he told me to clean the rollers.. I did this and the pages still scanned crooked and shredded our papers.

When this unit works, it does work well. Scan images are very nice

The unit jammed a lot duing our time of having this. Will probably return to get something else

Fantastic Scanner!

Order before 3/31/06 and get a $xx rebate on the scanner PLUS get ABBYY FineReader OCR software free (PLUS a free 1 GB USB key from Newegg ... now THAT'S a deal!)

Extremely fast and accurate scanner even in duplex! Very small footprint on my desk. Scans straight into PDF format in Acrobat 7.0 Standard. Has a nice feature that you can continue scanning into the same PDF file with each stack of 50 pages that you...

None of any real consequence. As with ANY scanner, be careful if you load extremely thin or flimsy pages as it is possible for one to become crooked and then wrinkled in the scanner. However when this happened a few times with some VERY thin paper I...
