good scanner, one blemish

My company owns ~200 of these. We have lately begun to use the fi-6130, which is more expensive, but has a neat reversing roller instead of the pads. If you are going to scan more than 200 sheets per day, buy that one instead.

1. small size ; 2. fairly fast for it's price ; 3. multi-feed detection ; 4. linux support

paper feed pulls bottom sheet, relies on little rubber pads to hold upper sheets in input tray. over time, these pads become slick, and the machine will multifeed. cleaning pads helps some, but eventual replacement will be required. fortunately, not...

Fujitsu fi-5015c

I have sold this model to several customers and then set up the scanners on their computers. That's it! No ongoing problems, and the users love them. One customer ordered a 2nd scanner for his lake house.

Fast, reliable, very good quality scans

Setup can be a bit tricky, but take your time an it will be fine

Great Workflow Scanners

Replacing the rubber rollers and the rubber holders is a snap and even smart users can take care of if you show them how. Can be really slow at 600dpi, and is *not* a fast scanner by any means. Get the FI-6140 if you want fast. Other than that, if your...

These things are great. I work for a nice sized medical clinic and we are now moving our Medical records over to EMR and going paperless. Have been using these scanners for over a year and half on nearly 150 desks, and these things keep on trucking....

Sometimes they jam when users get over zealous and try to scan a 20 page folder at once. I'm not sure what the capacity is for these, but it can obviously not do 20. I do have slight problems with the drivers and the interface with our scanning...

Great Scanner

Sometimes they will grab more than 1 sheet of paper at a time. To correct this issue, fan out the paper by running your thumb across the end and shifting the papers so they are not in a "neat" stack.

I have 3 of these in an office that I am using to go paperless. We are scanning in our old documents to a document server and have tried several scanners along the way; however, these are the winner by far. They are fast and do duplex, which our...

Awful Software

If you do not need a scanner with TWAIN or ISIS drivers then get the cheaper ScanSnap.

The scanner itself is great. It can scan quickly, without many mis-feeds and is rather compact

I have one of the cheaper ScanSnap scanners in our office and it comes with far better software than this scanner. Basically, we scan all our documents as PDF files and this scanner definitely does not work well as a simple PDF scanner. The software...

Major Disappointment

Purchased the 5110C after considerable research on the web of available office scanners. The equipment seemed a good fit and value for our effort to upgrade the speed and ease of our scanning at this law firm. Because of the failure of the product to...

Compact with small footprint, has TWAIN driver support, easy setup, good image quality, when it is working properly it is smooth and fast

Like the little girl with curl. When she was good she was very good, but when she was bad....In one week we had numerous instances of paper jamming and, accordingly, found we could not rely on it
