Fujitsu's ScanSnap S1300i is a compact, duplex scanner, ideal for scanning on the move.
Good custom-written software ; Automated scans to many destinations ; Excellent OCR results
No onboard memory ; Setup can be touchy ; No case provided
The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i is an excellent portable scanner. While it might not be the smallest device you can buy, the duplex scan facility is very useful and the software is now so well integrated with the device that it really is close to...

A small sheet-fed scanner with big performance
Compact and portable ; Very fast ; USB- or mains-powered
Only 10-sheet ADF
A superb mix of speed and portability. Ideal for digitising pics on the go

The £223 Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 is a small, 600dpi portable scanner that handles up to ten pages in its automatic document feeder, performs double-sided scanning and provides good-looking images from a variety of documents.
Ultimately, the lightweight Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 is a well-designed portable scanner that's capable of producing good-quality images, but its speed is mediocre and its software has limitations.

Fujitsu's ScanSnap S1300i is compact, able to scan up to 12 pages per minute and interact with cloud services.
Whilst the Fujitsu S1300i just edges ahead of the P-215 on scan speed, Canon's device comes with faultless and fluid software whichincludes TWAIN/ISIS drivers. The ScanSnap S1300i is a good choice, but we'd opt for the Canon.

With a small but steadily growing population of the computing force being Mac users, it's nice to see Fujitsu thinking of us by offering a serious mobile scanning hardware solution. The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 is just under s nice to see Fujitsu...
Fujitsu packs a nice suite of applications with the S1300 scanner, for both Mac and PC users. The ScanSnap manager is simple and easy to use, letting you select what you want to do with the document after it's scanned. Default settings can be modified...

For all it does, Fujitsu's ScanSnap S1300i is surprisingly compact, and it packs a useful interface and document-management software. If you can stomach the price, it's ideal for moderate document scanning on the road.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 offers duplexing and an automatic document feeder in a portable scanner.
Automatic document feeder. Duplex scans. Comes with document management and business card programs.
Relatively slow. No standard driver for working with scan commands in Windows programs.

Fujitsu's scanner is your new (albeit bulky) buddy if you want high-quality images. The sturdy document feeder gets pages in straight, you get them out...
Delivers crisp, clear images. 10-sheet document feeder keeps pages straighter than other scanners. Easy to clear jams when they do happen. Software supports scanning to PDF, Word documents, and other formats. Reasonably quick at 10 seconds per page
The largest of the scanners we tested. Bloated software suite takes over 1 GB of hard drive space. Requires a series of manual steps to get working with Evernote

A good deal for scanning lots of short documents, but isn't great for long documents
High quality scans, easy to use software
Relatively slow, 10-page document feeder feels limiting
The is a good all-around scanner, but its small 10-page document feeder makes it a poor choice if you scan lots of longer documents.
