Consumer review (newegg.com)

An actual review

We have three of these and all have more than a million scans on them. When things get dirty (optics/mirrors) you don't see it on the images but deskew and its ability to find the page can start getting crazy. Some types of paper are hard to separate...

It's built to scan big stacks (500+ sheets) of paper at 120 pages per minute (B/W 200 dpi duplex) all day long. It also does color and higher resolutions, but your speed will be slower. If you scan more than 500,000 pages per year and time is money,...

Yes, some of the rollers are hard to get to. Also, the optics/mirrors need cleaned about every 1,000,000 pages. I'm doing this myself (takes about 2-4 hours) rather than pay $$$ for a service contract (be careful)

AMAZING!

I bought 6 of these since they are so cheap! Just buy one for the heck of it since the deal of this is absolutely phenomenal like said above! GREAT JOB GUYS!

Extremely cheap! Absolutely phenomenal scanning abilities! Very small, just enough to fit on a science book size desk

A Pretty Good Printer.

Spits out about 5PPS (pages per second), resolution is O.K. at best, 600DPI?! Well, you're not using this for pictures anyway...It was on-sale, -$300, only $75 shipping

For $18k I expected a higher DPI setting

high maintainence

I purchased one of these through an institutional grant, so I didn't care about cost. But I would never pay my own money for one, as this doesn't work that much better than my old scanner that was only $4,000 and its alot more "fussy". I give it a low...

Its quite fast and works very well with OCR software (like Teleform)

It will start double feeding unless you change the rollers on a nearly monthly basis. The roller kit costs hundreds of dollars and it pretty hard to install. Also, if it feeds dirty paper (I use it for scanning surveys), it is a pain to clean out

WOW

it only has a 1 year warranty i would think it would be several lifetimes if it's 19 grand

It better be good for 19 grand

it's 19,000 and i could buy a car and a VERY nice printer for that much
