Epson Perfection V300 Photo review

As multifunction printers proliferate, it seems that the selection of standalone scanners is shrinking. Often, though, the scanner components in all-in-one devices are not of the highest quality; they're meant more for making copies than for digitizing...

Although its appeal is limited by its stand-alone nature, the Epson Perfection V300 Photo, with its 4800 dpi optical scanning resolution and transparency scan support, is a good choice for those looking to take their snapshots, negatives, and slides...

Epson Perfection V300 Photo Scanner

With a great 4800 dpi optical resolution and numerous features the V300 photo scanner can easily restore the colour in those old family snaps.

It’s ability to incorporate 3D objects, 35mm film as well as legal documents and 4800 dpi scanning and transparency support all at an inexpensive price is truly a great benefit

Its stand alone feature is outdated

A multitasking scanner that can handle 35MM film, legal documents and even 3D objects all for under £90.

Epson Perfection V300 Photo

The $100 Epson Perfection V300 Photo is a worthy candidate if you're looking for an affordable flatbed scanner. This 48-bit, 4800-dpi, USB scanner is easy to install and use, and it's capable of producing good-looking scans from a variety of originals,...

Excellent image quality ; Scans both photos and film

Inconvenient placement of cable connectors

Scans high-quality photos and film at an affordable price.

Epson Perfection V300 Photo

You won't find many differences in basics between the V300 and 5600F, but the few that exist are in the V300's favor. Both offer 4,800-pixel-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution; both have transparency scanning limits of only four slides or one six-frame...

Scores well on quality and ease of use for scanning both photographic prints and transparencies (slides and strips of film)

Scans only four slides or one six-frame strip of film at a time

The Epson Perfection V300 Photo scanner scans both prints and transparencies (slides and strips of film) surprisingly well, and even comes with an optical character recognition program.
