It cuts my art reproduction work flow by at least 60%. Well worth it for me!
can put paintings on the scanner and I get accurate color in one step
The photo version has a separate heavy cover. Most people will probably discard the normal plastic cover and just use the photo cover ; however, I mostly scan paintings so I like the light weight cover better and store the larger photo cover

As a botanical illustrator, I find this scanner to be a great timesaver. I can scan and enlarge the bits I need to illustrate, seeing detail much better than through a microscope.
This scanner is wonderful. The image quality is excellent. I had friends wondering if I should spend so much on a scanner, then when they saw the images of plants I made, they said "How does it make that look so much better than life?"!
Be careful, the gl can scratch easily. I buy clear acetate to put on top of the gl when scanning non-paper items such as plants or ceramics.

Love this scanner
This scanner is a workhorse. It is quiet, reliable, scans beautifully, love the negative scanner. Cannot think of a bad thing to say about it.
