Canon's latest offers high specs for a portable sheet-feed scanner, including duplex scanning.
Can scan ID cards ; Neat cover/feed tray ; 20-sheet feed tray
No case supplied ; Photo scanning could be better ; Bit heavy for true portability

Portable scanning for PCs and Macs
Easy to install ; Fast ; Fixes problems of its predecessor ; Portable ; Duplex scanning
Expensive ; Bundled software not great
Even on the highest quality setting, the Canon imageFORMULA P-215 was fast, and the results were excellent.

Although we've seen a number of sheetfed scanners over the last year, truly portable models like the Canon P-215 remain something of a rarity.
In general the Canon P-215 works very effectively. We weren't quite as impressed by the feeding mechanism as we hoped to be, although those looking to scan letters and other smooth materials should have few problems. The software is certainly...

Portable scanner that doesn't require batteries
Fast, Compact portable scanner, Draws power from USB on host computer
Expensive, Relatively modest scanning resolution
A price tag of £257 means that the P-215 is quite a bit more expensive than an ordinary flatbed office scanner. However, its compact, portable design and clever software makes it a good choice for people who need a basic scanner for business documents...

Although big and heavy for a portable scanner, the Canon imageFormula P-215 Personal Document Scanner's fast speed, duplexing, and ADF make it well worth the extra size and weight.
Automatic document feeder. Duplexes. Rated at 15 pages per minute for black and white as well as grayscale
Relatively big and heavy for a portable scanner. Application programs don't install by default

Boasting convenient plug-and-play capabilities, Canon's P-215 scanner draws power from a single USB cable and has the ability to produce high-quality documents of up to 600dpi resolution in monochrome, grayscale, and full-color. However at 1kg, it is a...

Excellent, quick and hassle free OCR which is also brilliantly accurate. So quick you wonder if it has done the job!
Minimalist software interface means you have to dig around to check settings. Does not impede capabilities however.

small but does big job
not flat bet but I knew this
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Bought this scanner because it is compatible with Evernote very compact and easy to set up. Not the cheapest but does everything I wanted from it.
It kept giving an error message when I first used it which was not covered in the manual but after restarting the computer it worked fine.
