I Bought Another One!

I bought this scanner to take on the road for work and loved it so much, I bought one for home several months later. It does a great job for most scanning needs. I have had no problems with either unit.

Small and flat, great for travel. USB powered, no power cord! Great scans.

None.

Color banding / streaking with photos

Cheap. Low profile. Powered from USB connection (no wall wart adapter to mess with).

For statements and receipts, this scanner does the job, however, with photos, especially photos that have darker colors, there is more than noticeable horizontal "streaks" of color. It's pretty bad actually. Will be requesting an RMA for exchange.

Canon LiDE70

I vastly prefer this scanner to Epsons and HPs I've used -- it's much less finicky.

This is a great little scanner. Scans quickly with no fuss. Quality of pics is great and more than sufficient for a casual user -- I scanned about 30 old photos and the digital versions came out significantly better than the originals. The shortcut...

It is a bit loud, but how often do you really scan pics in situations requiring total silence?

Installed it, scaned a sheet lighthouses stamps with impossible to read captions without a magnifying glass at 600 dpi and boom you can zoom in for days and see every detail. Great Res! It's a keeper.

Cheap, Small, USB Powered, LED instead of CFL

Haven't had enough time to find any

Amazing

Granted, I don't have as much experience with the latest scanners. My last scanner was 4 years old.

I must say, I'm amazed with this scanner. Cheap and fast. Not to mention the the lack of forced software. There's no need to use the software that Canon provides with the scanner. You can simply install the driver and use your favorite software (as...

Nothing.

Great Scanner!

For the price range, this is a great product. The speed and quality are fabulous, especially when you consider that it is running on USB and not an individual power supply. Noisy? Maybe a little, but, nothing compared to others in this same range. Ever...

None that I can see. If you want more than this offers, spend more money.

Pretty Decent Value

I'd probably get this scanner again. However, I'd give the more expensive scanners another look ... mostly to figure out if their software is better coordinated, if the the scanner is faster, or if there is some reason to pay more. For casual use, this...

It does what it's supposed to do, thank goodness. For the cost ($70), it scans photos at resolutions up to 1200dpi without much fiddling with the software. It's great that it gets power from the USB cable. It's fast enough, quiet enough, and functional...

The software *is* a little hard to get used to. It's a little disconnected. For the common case (scan a document), it's benign. But for finer control, you really do have to do a preview before exercising any of the filters. Getting that dance down took...

Eww. Just ewwww.

Were it not for the sound, this product would jump from a 2 to a 5 in my perspective. I would not recommend this.

Very light, no need for a power supply, looks attractive while not sacrificing capability.

Though I bought this product from Office Depot [I even switched it out for the same product and I encountered similar problems], I suffered severe trauma in purchasing this product. The user software is difficult to use and the scanner sounds like an...
