Bundled software offers limited functionality. Relatively slow

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 100 is one of the few remaining scanners aimed at home users who are primarily interested in scanning photographic prints.

Very easy to install and get up and running. The instructions were clear and it all worked first time. The only limitation is my understanding of software, it's a lot more capable than I am.

A little disappointed by the 300dpi, but that's really so minor, overall it's a brilliant product

Seems OK on a PC, my laptop.

But I bought it for my Apple Mac and understood it was sold as being OK with a Mac. I could not get it to work despite several hours trying.

The scanner is light and does not take up much room on my desk. I use it for OCR work, which can be tricky at times, but if I have a bad first result, I can easily scan the document more than once, before saving it on Word.

So far not much to say here.
