Great little workhorse

The first one I bought for business and it's over 2 yrs old now. Never stopped working. I work in a limestone cave and not even the ever-present dust has penetrated the inside. I bought a second as a gift a year later. Thinking of buying a third for...

Canon products are use and throw away when something breaks. Their service and repair is not worth the bother

Worked fine, for a while

However, immediately after the warranty expired, now it only works on a PC (mac can't see it anymore?) and then reads in negative... so I'm assuming it's shot.

Good value, or would be if it outlived the warranty

Slow ; Limited quality ; Died after only a year

uber portable

I didn't even use the install CD that comes with it. I've personally found Canon products to be reliable (if only a little bit fragile). Uses LEDs to light the bed (may be a con if you need perfect colors/contrast). I find it perfect for my occasional...

Portable. Easy to use, set up. Pretty much plug 'n play with Windows XP, MacOS 10.4 (via Image Capture), Linux Mandriva 2008.1/ PCLinuxOS 2007 (via XSane). Is powered by the USB port you plug it into (provided the port is powered). No power brick to...

Not as fast as its bigger more expensive siblings. A little on the flimsy side (you probably wouldn't want to pack this in the bottom of your suitcase). The contrast/brightness is a little off. Being so light it needs to be on a perfectly still surface...

Good, cheap scanner

If you're on a budget and just want a cheap scanner, then this is a decent choice.

I bought this for my sister so she could scan her artwork. It's quick and simple

Pictures scan a bit bight. I tried changing the settings around but that didn't help very much. It's also fairly noisy

Great scanner

I use a scanner infrequently, but when I do, I never have any problems with this bad boy.

Plug and play, easy interface, good quality, NO POWER CORD

None really... maybe a bit slow for high-quality scans

Simply works - even in Linux

Overall a great product. I consider it a smart investment.

Strangely enough, this has better plug-and-play in Linux than it does in Windows. I'm using Ubuntu with Xsane. No additional software needed. Windows software takes some getting used to. Scans great

A little slow to scan. Especially on higher resolutions. A little loud. But what do you expect from a scanner powered by USB

Works like a charm

A single USB cable for power and data is great. Additionally, the unit is very light and portable ; The scanner was easily recognized by Ubuntu Hardy Heron and was scanning within a few minutes out of the box. The LED lamp is ready for action...

No significant issues ; This is a perfect scanner for simple home use when scanning a handful of documents. The speed of scanning will begin to hinder any commercial uses

Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 0307B001 1200 x 2400 dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner

For the price i can't really complain, it does what I bought it for. For the occasional scan you can't beat the price.

I bought this scanner to replace my legacy (not supported by vista) SCSI scanner which I use to scan the occasional document and check. It's an inexpensive, compact, light weight scanner, that's USB powered

This scanner is SLOW, it takes a minute flat to scan a letter @ 300 DPI, there is color shift/bleeding at lower DPI's. The scanner arrived with a spec of dirt on the underside of the glass. The scanner doesn't work with my monitors USB ports

good little scanner

none

USB powered can move it to any computer in the house love it! and only 1/2 a bill. ya got to love new egg! Software is easy to use and install

Not fast but ok for the money. 200 to 300 dpi scans fast enought for the bucks I spent

Does the job

All in all, a home scanenr that does the job just fine.

Scans fast and makes copies

Scans and copies come out a bit dark
