Can be used entirely without a computer ; Very compact and portable ; Works for the most part as advertised ; Works with linux via SANE ; Brother support for LINUX is fairly solid with most of their products and seem to work well and as advertised

Good quality images and easy to operate. packs away small for storage when not in use. The included PaperPort SE software does an excellent job managing scanned PDFs merging and splitting pages from documents. it works just as well with saved PDFs from...

being a smaller unit the paper guides are small and so more susceptible to skewing/jamming if the guides are not set right or if you try to scan overly wrinkled items, if your documents are wrinkled (or chewed, bad dog!) make sure to feed those ones...

Excellent software package. Compact unit. Twain drivers. USB or wireless operation. Scans front and back of page simultaneously.

Slow scanning, jams frequently, skews paper, loses WiFi connection, jams consistently when fed over 5 pages.
