Love this scanner

I believe the airlines dropped my checked bag from the top of the plane and actually broke the scanner which was inside. Ordering another. Can't work without it!

Very portable, easy to travel with, scans pages pretty quickly. Works very well with small receipts and thicker items. Have used this scanner for almost 2 years. Travel often and do audit work so no need to transport cumbersome and/or confidential...

Still great

It developed a narrow, black streak for a short amount of time. Streak disappeared after a dozen scans.

Have moved to Windows 7 and the scanner is still working great. Receipts and short documents are fine; takes some persistence for long documents. Adequate for printed article clips

Easy to use scanner

I'll probably get a 3rd party scanning software program in the near future. 3 stars b/c the software doesn't remember your preferences.

Scanned documents look great. Scans to PDF, JPG, or TIF files.

I wan the scanner to save the files to the server but there is no way to set a default location in the software. It just defaults to your documents folder every time you start it.

Just what we needed

We have several techs that are finally moving from XP to Windows 7, and their old scanners no longer worked, these just plug in and go.

Works in Win 7 32 and 64 bit. Comes with travel sleeve.

Ambir Travelscan

We put these in place to replace fax machines for the 1-4 page faxes and they fit the bill.

We have around 95 employees and I have around 15 of these scanners in place. We have a mix of baby boomers and Gen-x so a good mix of generations. Everyone uses them with ease and loves them at our dealership. Very easy to use, they do not require a...

This is a good 1-4 page scanner, if you are looking for a 5-more pages at a time scanner I would look at the Fijitsu 1500 or better.

Great Device

Didn't try photos, but I never intended to use it for this.

Plug in, it works. Receipts, bills, short documents. Gets day-to-day paper off your desk, out of your files and in the paper shredder. Comes with soft travel pocket
