Good

Now have had it for over 4 years, and it finally died earlier this year. Replaced all the caps in the power supply and it is now good as new!, and even more reliable than before.. Shame it doesnt have USB or an easy method to extract stuff off HD. Good...

works reliably, doesnt freeze up any more..

doesnt have twin tuner

Good

Had this for nearly 3 years and has been great. Never missed a recording. The remote played up at one stage, and i tracked it down to a dry solder joint on the infra red LED. Other than that has been virtually faultless. Can down load stuff off the...

Works like it is supposed to. Not many PVRs around that do that much!

Will freeze rarely. Small hard disk.

Terrible

If you come across one, keep walking..... It's just not worth the frustration. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE. You'll be very very sorry if you do.

Now? Nothing!

It's a piece of junk. Constantly freezes, especially while trying to record Ch 7. Won't display SBS programmes in timer record list menu. You can reset the unit back to factory default, but it soon goes back to being crap after an hour or so. Very poor...

Bad

Its a very cheap and easy to use pvr, although I doubt that there is sufficient power being diverted to the hard disc drive to power it properly. All the problems with this unit is related to the hard drive so if you want a reliable pvr then I would...

Its cheap. That's all.

After a few months of use, the unit freezes up during recording. Switched off then on at the main a few time. Then it said hard drive full when it wasn't. Wasn't worth getting fixed so hard drive is now in my computer and the PVR is now just a set top...

Bad

Had it continued to work, this would have been an excellent unit, offering value for money. But, about 2 months after the purchase it started giving problems. All problems were blamed on the antenna, but I have tested the unit in other locations that...

When it was new it was a very good unit, excellent value for money.

Requires an excellent signal, otherwise recordings fail part way through. Started to dislike cold mornings, picture pixilated, and has finally decided to stop working.

OK

This was a great buy in 2005 and had all the features I required. However, I would not recommend anybody buying this now as it has no USB port, is standard definition and should have lasted more than 3 years.

I purchased my unit in October 2005, it has been used heavily since. Until now it has worked perfectly except for the odd time where it freezes up and I have to unplug it from the wall for a few seconds. Remote was easy to use after an hour or so of...

Like other reviews on here my remote now freezes but I think this is more to do with the unit. Softward upgrade may resolve this, about to find out. However with no USB port, doing a software upgrade will not be an easy task. Instruction manual has...

It was fine (for temporary recording), while it worked. Lack of a DVD drive or USB/Firewire interface is a serious limitation, as it makes it difficult to get your recordings off the unit. Very disapointed that it failed just after 14 months. Don't...

Compact unit, good picture -while it worked.

Lacks options to get you recordings off the hard drive. Failed after just 14 months (suspecting power supply) which is rather disapointing. Interesting to see others with similar experiences. Could be difficult/imposible? to get it repaired given it...

Terrible

OK initially but seem to develop same faults. Both returned to OzAuctionBrokers seller/service people. After 6 weeks promised 2 new units but sent 2 used units with similar faults.Only rudeness when try to get satisfaction. In hand with Fair Trading....

Excellant units for first 10 months or so. I have 2 of them.

Faults apply to both units. Freezing during recording, failure to timer record. Freezing half way through playback, failure to record claiming disc full when not.

mine is twin tuner model 2120t which I recommend I have had the unit of a year and am still waiting for a replacement remote pity as it wrecks a pretty good unit.

Good quality recording, quiet operation, Excellent value for money

Bloody remote keeps freezing, or just wont repond, and you can't use unit wihout the remote

OK

Good enough if you have a limited budget and you have good trouble shooting skills. You would be better to save your pennys and get something a bit more stable.

Good value for recording. Works on all chanels. Once you get the hang of using the remote for the functions it is quite easy to operate.

Locks up when recording on occasions and need to turn off at the wall. The remote can be a bit dodgy at times but I think that has got more to do with the unit itself. I think I need to do a software upgrade but having trouble finding the website to...
