Comet great, actual machine not

Got this machine for it's ariel socket out for our old tv, there aren't many inexpensive ones that have it and don't want a separate RF modulator with yet another plug in the wall and another thing to stop working such is the appalling build quality of...

comet replaced with no quibble, goodmans seems to work fine

Disappointed

Disappointed as thought Ferguson used to be reliable brand. Box goes into Black and White at least once a month! Needs unpluging when goes into black and white or freezes. Not yet found a set top box that works as expected, gone through a number of...

easy to set up, fast epg

Excellent Set Top Box

It is stated on the box for this item "Compatible with older TVs without a scart connection." This is true (in spite of what "Comet expert" wrote in answering questions.) I have recently bought this STB (set top box) and find it is very good value....

Brilliant box

I had no trouble with this box at all... i collect old tv's pre scart models... brought this box as it has a built in modulator. and i made a cable loop so i can tune it in to my old vintage tvs worked as a treat and the functions are easy to...

easy to use but read the book well, if your a tv expert no problem

not easy instruction to follow, people who are not tv experts will find it hard

Its a shame you can't rate it 0 stars

THE worst piece of electrical kit ive ever bought. I went against all the negative reviews i read on here before purchasing it and I regret it. It really is awful. It neither worked in s scart set up or an RF modulator set up and was totally...

packs back into the box easily, light enough to carry back to the store with ease

cheap looking, cheap feeling, expect you to have rf cable already, all round just useless

Don't agree with the Doomsayers

I've just installed 6 of these units in my B&B. None of my TV's have scart sockets so I spent an hour making co-axial cable loops for the RF modulators and from the TV to the box. Each TV had a different system for tuning but I was able to set them all...

One of my worst electrical purchases ever!

Yes, I too was taken by the brand name - Ferguson. But this piece of rubbish was terrible. While watching the world cup and the Formula 1 racing, hitting the 'recall' button to switch between channels was ridiculous. The box makes the picture go blank,...

Absolutely Aweful Product

Bought this product a couple of months back and it has been truly aweful. I have now swapped it for a TVONICS model which is excellent. Channel changing is terrible and it skips forward and back several channels. The quality of the remote is poor and...

Very poor buy

Tried this unit to see if it was better than the cheaper Proline. It failed badly. Found all the freeview channels on setup. When moving the channels up and down via the remote, the unit skips 3 to 4 channels at a time. Some of the channels, the...
