Great features and easy operation

At the time of purchase this was the only unit with proper networking and DVD player. We have 2 DP-S1's networked and love it. Have used a few other pvr's and found the menus a pain. Replaced the hard drive in one unit after many years of every night use.

Great unit but some functionality just doesnt work.

I have had this unit since 2007 and it has been fantastic. The recording and playback are great as well as the interface. Biggest hassle is the dvd player which is sporadic in ability. Will play some dvds but not others. Got better with firmware...

Recording and getting around.

WLAN, DVD playing, EPG flakiness.

Excellent

I've had this unit since Dec 2006. It has got better and better over time with new firmware releases by the manufacturer. After intensive use for 4 years, the HDD has failed but its been great. It has changed the way we watch TV. I have recently...

Excellent hardware profile and list of features. Best EPG Guide system around. WizTV with Video on Demand is excellent. Hopefully they will expand it. Very Good signal receiver. Wifi. ICE TV.

DVD player could be better. It would be great if its recorded files were more easily transferred.

OK

Hard drive records well, good storage space

Wireless function/ LAN connectivity poor, DVD player poor

OK

It's a jack of all trades, master of none. But then, this remains a maturing market/product and Rome wasn't built in a day. If the next firmware update provides a far better media interface it will be at least a 4 rating. Check the Beyonwiz forum....

Great timeshift functions and the ability to record two channels simoultaneously. Wireless networking works well too, and not a bad overall design. HD size is adequate and if you do like to record a lot, backing up to an external source is possible....

The media centre is awful and was one of the main reason I bought it :) I network it to my iTunes folder and it simply provides a list of directories as they are stored by itunes, i.e. by artist. With 11000+ tracks it's just not practical to scroll...
