Running great for 2 months on Vista RC1

Post below indicates problems w/ Vista RC2. I haven't installed RC2 yet, but suspect a configuration issue - I doubt MS removed support for devices between RC1 and RC2. I suggest those having problems in vista install the ATI drivers for WinXP for one...

Awesome w/ Vista RC1. Running clear & stable on Geforce 6150 + athlon 64 3000+ for 2 months. Low profile + PCIE interface is exactly what I needed. Vista media center is the best interface - don't bother with included software

None - except poor software interface included - but again media center is the way to go

Excellent hardware/Lame software

I have had a PCI version of this card for 2 years now (with MCE 2005) and knew what to expect - this card perfoms exactly the same. As usual, Newegg rocks on availability/Pricing and shipping.

1-PCIe-x1 ; 2-Excellent picture quality ; 3-Compatible with MCE 2005 ; (don't buy this card based on the software offered - buy it for the hardware and use MCE/MythTV/BeyondTV, etc...)

1-Provided software ; 2-You have to download drivers

Horrible product all around

I am ashamed that such a prestigous company like these guys wouldinclude such shotty software and release it for xx fricken dollars! Get a fricken clue Powercolor!

It had a pretty color red

Everything about it. The remote has NO programmable functions. It only works with the Cyberlink software that comes with the card. It doesn't work with other programs and IF it does it's limited to maybe the arrow buttons. The software that comes with...

Stay Away

This has the potentional to be a great card, but unfortuntely it means nothing if there isn't the proper software to support it. I don't understand how others got thiers to work. Mine works, but the pic is bad because the filters cannot be adjusted...

Very high build qaulity

ATI does not support the PowerColor 550. That means thier Catalyst center does not work(which I don't care about) and more importantly, the ATI TV Tuner Control panel has no effect on the card

could have been cool

I wish someone would have written this review before, it would have been nice to know this. Then again, I could have looked at my mobo just to be sure.

Pci-e x1...finally, a use for it! Ummm...but not for me. Other reviews looked good

Does NOT work with Asus A8N32-SLI deluxe motherboard!!! The heat-pipes are in the way. Kinda sucks, I thought I finally found a good, inexpensive card. Not the cards fault though. Asus puts a PIPE right where the pci-e x1 slot is. DOI

Pretty decent TV tuner

The software isn't all that bad. The only problem I have is that I can not record with it hooked up to a composite cable for satellite. That's ok. I just use Sagetv and the litte sucker works like a charm.

Great quality from a pretty decently priced tuner. Works perfectly with my XFX 7600 GT. Uses minimal resources and recording quality is excellent

Out $20.00

I don't know why I couldn't get it to work, apparently others did, but I noticed on PowerColor web site that others had same trouble with no resolution from PowerColor.

Never could get to work with new build Asus P5W DH deluxe MB, E6600 Conroe, & 7950GT Video

Installed & never able to get good picture clarity on live or recorded tv. Tried GB-PVR software & same result. Supposedly compatible with NVIDIA Cards But I didn't have any luck. After 1 & 1/2 Days (about 12hrs) I rma'd back to Newegg & took a 10.50...

excellent w/ Vista

Image quality may be slightly worse than analog quality of ATI HDTV Wonder. Howver, I'm running the Wonder card on a better monitor + video card...not an apples to apples comparison.

Plug & play with vista & vista MC. Image quality is decent. CPU usage is minimal (<10% watching+recording)

no digital

Best Yet

If your picture is bad run the update, but check the date of the drivers installed afterwards they should be 8/13/2005.

Much better picture than my PVR250,ATI based so it worked perfect with my Crossfire set-up.(ATI3200 chipset W/ two X1600's)Good Price after rebate and best of all PCI-E

Software blows and the drivers shipped were outdated and poor. The TV picture was real bad and when I ran the update for the drivers they didn't take.(Watch for the date change) So I had to force the drivers to load, They did and the TV picture is sweet

Works OK with Nero Enhanced

I upgraded to Nero 7 Enhanced which is free if you bought Nero 7. It seems to support a lot of cards and installation was a breeze. It's a bit clunky and the remote doesn't work, but Nero uses XMLTV so there's your PVR.

PCIE ; On board MPEG2 compression ; Low price ; Win XP Pro X64 support/drivers

I didn't even try the software...you guys convinced me ; Video/sound out of sync for live TV but the recordings are fine ; Picture quality not as good as my old Winfast Expert but this card doesn't have the video trouble with AMD X2 ; The remote only...
