If you want a quality universal remote that doesn't cost the earth Philips SRU 8015 will turn you on. And off.
It's a little on the large side but the Philips Prestigo SRU 8015 is a fine universal remote control. As it sets out to be, it's easy to set-up and it's better to use then more expensive remotes. The circular wheel to move between devices on the large,...

The all-in-one remote market has gone a little quiet recently, possibly due to a more than capable selection of impressive products by OneForAll and Logitech, among others. Philips scores full marks for setup and adaptability with the SRU 8015, but...
Looks great, excellent colour display, wide range of functions, very easy to set up and configure
Navigational wheel can become a pain during day to day operation; many of the buttons are a bit too close together
Philips scores full marks for setup and adaptability with the SRU 8015, but isn’t quite as usable as we’d hoped due to the operation and position of the circular control wheel.

The Prestigo SRU8015 is a universal remote control from Philips. It sports a sleek design and is easy to set up. It is available in black. It features a scroll wheel as well as a colour screen display. It has its own built in data base of codes so that...

Philips Prestigo SRU8015
Controls up to 15 devices; 15 activities; color screen; cable and satellite channel logos; no PC required.
Rotary wheel underperforms and has odd button layout; most keys are too close together; remote is a bit heavy; no rechargeable battery option; somewhat expensive versus competing models.
The Philips Prestigo SRU8015 universal remote offers relatively easy setup and good control flexibility, but it's sabotaged by a poorly implemented scroll-wheel control.

The Philips Prestigo SRU8015 universal remote is a decent remote, but isn't as easy to program as it first appears to be. May suit those who want a PC-less set-up.
PC-less set-up ; Sturdy build ; Can be quick if it recognises all your devices
but can be tedious if it doesn't ; Instructions for macro set-up are obscure ; Small transport buttons
Conclusion Overall, this is a decent remote if you don't want to fiddle around with Web interfaces or go poring through pages and pages of manufacturer's codes. When it works, it's great ... but things become unhinged when the remote comes across a...

Great device for home use. Fast as like swift. Very quick performer device. I like it because it is very cheap.
Fast responder ; Stylish design ; Cheap
Small buttons difficult to press
