Logitech makes some of the best universal remote controls on the market, and the 650 is the perfect match mix of high-end features and affordability.
Comprehensive device database ; Good ergonomics ; Colour screen
Only five devices allowed ; Setup demands patience
Optimising these macros takes time and patience, and will likely require you to change the way you use your equipment. If you don't always use the Harmony 650 to switch devices on and off for instance, you'll come unstuck if a gadget uses a power...

Fewer products are more appropriately named than the Logitech Harmony series of smart remotes. They do wonderful things to take home entertainment
Intuitive design ; (Relatively) affordable ; Extensive device database
Five device cap ; Dimly illuminated buttons ; No recharging circuitry

Logitech Harmony 650
Powerful universal remote with great ergonomics; color LCD screen surrounded by five contextual buttons; Web programmable via Windows or Mac PCs; excellent button layout and overall design; supports custom sequences/macros; sub-$100 price tag.
Only controls five devices; requires Internet-connected PC to program; adding favorite channel icons is a bit more difficult than it should be; an additional $20 gets you the step-up model rechargeable batteries.
The Logitech Harmony 650 is one of the best universal remotes you can buy for less than $100.

If you're looking for an easy-to-use universal remote to control up to eight devices, we still recommend the Logitech Harmony 650, after years of testing.
The Harmony Companion and the Harmony 650 both offer control of up to eight devices, but that’s where the similarities end. The Companion’s separate Hub uses a combination of IR, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi to extend its control capabilities beyond that of...

We took a look at the Logitech Harmony 650, a universal remote control with interesting features.
Excellent ergonomic design ; Sturdy construction ; Excellent button layout ; Sensor turns it on when you pick it up ; Basic functions easily programmable ; Good color screen ; Batteries easily replaced
Time-consuming set up of logos for favorite channels ; Programming advanced functions a bit confusing ; Poor backlighting (Not all keys are backlit)

Have tried other brands but in my opinion Logitech is far superior. Easy to set up and works like a dream. Just a word of advice to new purchasers , when setting up follow procedure to the end even if you are not setting up all of the features. I...
