Last minute gifts for under $100

The Logitech Harmony 520 Advanced Universal Remote is the first sub-$100 remote the company has launched after acquiring the successful Harmony brand of remote controls. The new model is a smaller brother of the flagship Harmony 880, with a few...

Extensive online device database. Learning capabilities. Good layout.

No charger. Needs four triple-A batteries.

The Logitech Harmony 520 Advanced Universal Remote isn't just attractive, it's well designed and will work with all your entertainment-center components.

Logitech Harmony 520

At less than AU$200, the sleekly designed Logitech Harmony 520 is a relative bargain among PC-programmable remotes.

More attractive shape than previous Harmony remotes ; Strong backlight ; Choice between device or activity usage ; Intuitive, Web-based programming ; Windows and Mac compatible

No rechargeable battery option ; Web interface might intimidate nontechie users

As far as PC-programmable universal remotes go, the Logitech Harmony 520 is an impressive bargain, given its AU$180 price tag. From a design standpoint, it's much better than the majority of the remotes on the market. Its functionality is top-notch as...

It took a lot of tweeking and perseverence, but it has eventually paid off. Even my LaCie home cinema unit can be controlled from it ..and that was difficult to setup. Although some of the more advanced features of my remotes aren't programmed into...

It controls everything independently-sound from TV, channel from digital box

I don't normally write reviews, but after reading some here I can't understand why some people don't like it. It seems people either love it or hate it.

Heaps of stuff can be added of the web, its easy to use. One remote for EVERYTHING

Takes a little while to setup

This product is hopeless. After many attempts at trying to make it "learn" I have given up. Considering that everything I have is Sony and it can't ever navigate to the right source without intervention just goes to show how useless it is. After 4...

Logitech Harmony 520

Not totally impressed with the device - it does a lot of things in a very mediochre way... just don't expect too much.

sleek design

pre-defined structure for operation and set-up of functions ; small screen ; blue backlight doesn't stay on long enough and the screen is difficult to read
