KitchenAid Built In Ice Maker KUIC15NT

This ice maker is very poorly designed. It uses a tremendous amount of water becuase of the way it makes ice. It puts a ridiculous amount of heat and for the winter months it was great. Unfortunately we thought Kitchen aid was a very respected brand....

We remodeled our kitchen and used Kitchenaide Stainless Steel products...not a cheap undertaking. After 5 years the fan on this ice maker blow out without notice and consequently the compressor burnt out as well. Since it was just past the warranty...
