Excellent receiver for small/mid living rooms

This product could have some optional overlay menus, so that I can see some of the input video/TV in the background while changing the settings on the receiver.

Definitely worth the money. No non professionally noticeable sound distortions even when using smaller speakers (Polk RM75). Has a great set of built in features. I use it mainly to watch movies from my computer and I'm very satisfied with the output....

Great - Love It.

I also purchased an inexpensive set of 5.1 speakers with this ( YAMAHA NS-SP1800 5.1CH Entry Class Speaker System). They sound so much better than what I had it is amazing. I only kept my original front speakers with 12" woofers and used the Yamahaz...

Sounds Great. Fairly easy to set up and use. I bought this to replace a 15 year old Sony receiver. Wow was I every missing something. This receiver is so much better

Owners Manual Only on CD and hard to understand. On screen set up not intuitive for non-audio guy. Still don't know how to re-program scenes but I have not tried too hard

Remote is well thought out and easy to use. Comes with a cd for documentation. GUI is clear and easy to use for setup.

Excellent product

As long you follow the instructions in the manual(CD) you'll be fine. Get the 2page quick guideline on HDMI hookup & Component cable hookup for games like the WII, go to yamaha website. Look for the model and go to support.
