My heart and soul

Yamaha is definitely the brand to go with when it comes to receivers. Don't let some one talk you into getting a Denon. I did my research and everyone that went from a denon to a yamaha said it was like night and day. I didn't purchase from newegg...

1. Dual Zones (I have some old school box speakers in the garage for zone 2) ; 2. Audio and video processing is excellent ; 3. Can connect to routers and share media with pcs through WMP ; 4. Power out put is high ; Has everything you could possibly...

The media sharing with pcs via windows media player seemed very slow at first. I tried opening wmp on my computer and now it works perfectly and doesn't lag ; I do have 1 big annoyance with this receiver. It will not play mp3 format audio files... I...

Excellent receiver

Finally replaced my old HTIB. Have slowly been adding speakers to this receiver: Polk Monitor 40 fronts, Polk OWM3 Satellites and a BIC V1220 sub. Center channel next. New system sounds great and has been glitch free so far.

So far, has performed excellently. So much neater using HDMI and getting rid of all the A/V/Toslink cables. I use it to switch my Blu-Ray, Apple TV and Cable box. No issues. HDMI passthrough works great. 6 total HDMI inputs. Excellent control options...

No native Airplay support. No big deal, I use an Apple TV ; Non-HD menu screens ; Remote control is a mess. I use a Logitech Harmony to control all my components ; No printed manual, but it comes with a PDF manual on CD

So far so good

I bought this to replace a pre-HDMI stereo A/V receiver in order to upgrade to surround sound and function as the control center for my master bedroom entertainment center. I hooked it up last evening to a center, L, and R speakers, TV, STB, and...

Works right out of the box, plenty of features, easy to connect, sounds great. Once programmed the Scene buttons make this user friendly for my non-techie spouse

Must choose between HDMI control and standby HDMI pass through. Remote provides somewhat limited control of my Sony TV, Sony Blu-Ray, and Motorola STB. Setting up all of the features to be just the way you want them is anything but straightforward...

Excellent Buy

This is what it is connected to: Polk Audio RM20 Front, Center, and Surround Speakers Polk Audio PSW125 Black 12" 150-watt Powered Subwoofer Samsung HL-T5089 50" LED 1080P Slim HD DLP TV Samsung BR Player My wife says the TV looks better. It is a 4...

I owned an Onkyo 805 for the past 4 years but it overheated and died. I thought it was necessary for me to own a $1000 AV receiver but when I took an honest look at my needs - 70% Blu-Ray, 25% streaming video and 5% music it would have been a waste of...

The only con is the manual – there isn't one. My suggestion is to put the manual CD in a laptop and have it in front of you when setting up your system
