Yamaha RX-V567 review

Yamaha's latest lower mid-range AV receiver is sensibly-featured and delivers the goods from movies but lacks grunt

An immersive surround sound experience ; Full HDMI functionality

Competing models are better featured (eg DPL IIz, Zone 2) ; Power measurements below spec

Yamaha RX-V567 review

The 7.1-capable RX-V567 from Yamaha – a company that has played a pivotal role in popularising home cinema – is not the most affordable model in its line-up, but at £400 still looks like a bit of a bargain. The problem is, almost every other AV brand...

Yamaha RX-V567 Receiver Preview

The Yamaha RX-V567 has a lot more of what consumers want in a next generation receiver. They've added two additional channels of amplification, an On Screen Display, and HDMI upconversion and scaling.

Awesome

Got free with the Klipsch 500 surround speaker set!!!!! I would pay full price for it though after using it.

Love it... I have Xbox360, Sat TV, and a Blu-Ray player running through the hdmi ports and they all work amazing. With the 4 hdmi inputs I eliminated the need for a seperate hdmi switch. It sounds great with everything

RX-V567

Easy set-up, lots inputs, sounds great

Took off 1 star for condition of the box that the receiver arrived in. Two large holes through the box. I would have refused delivery if I could have caught up with UPS delivery(They dropped it off and ran). Everything works fine with the receiver, but...

Good enough for your bedroom....

This is at very best an entry level receiver and there are many better available. The next step up is the very least I would recommend (the RX-V667)and only as a low end system. The specs on this are horrible. Yamaha "Normally" rates systems over the...

Great entry-level receiver

It's not the greatest receiver but it does the trick, great for movies, music, and video games. Easy setup and simple menus.

Easy setup, Auto sound check, decodes just about everything, it was free

Archaic on-screen display

Solid Product

HDMI return via cable, is better than the optical link I had to have with an older stereo setup.

It worked out of the box. Sound adjustments for surround done automatically, and so far works well. Using it the the Klipsch HD500 5.1 speaker set

Little too early to tell. However, I would like to listen to stereo while the TV is playing. Haven't figured out how to do that

This Yamaha is LOADED

BUY this YAMAHA from NEWEGG.com. You will be GLAD you did !

This Yamaha is really loaded. It has plenty of HDMI's (4 - 1080's), plenty of power (630 watts), plenty of inputs for games, Ipod, and other peripherals and is really user friendly. It is Bluetooth compatible (for your wireless phone or computer). The...

The only gripe I have is the lack of a phono jack input for my turntable. (yes, I still have a record collection which I enjoy). Granted, this is the year 2010 and everything is digital, but there is something wonderful about the scratch and hiss noise...
