Roksan Kandy K2 TR5 review

This petite Kandy pitches above its station, thanks to the credentials of its much larger Caspian FR-5 brother

Beautiful cabinetwork ; Good imaging and a sweet top end

Lacks basic neutrality, so results can be difficult to predict

Delivers a sweet top end from its ribbon tweeter, but overall tonal balance is rather uneven

Roksan Kandy K2 TR-5 review

Don't let these Roksans slip under your radar, they're serious contenders for class-leading status

Lively, entertaining and hugely enjoyable sound ; breathtaking detail in the treble ; tight, punchy bass ; excellent integration

You might want a smidgen more bass

Stunning speakers that deserve to be labeled as serious contenders for class-leading status

Roksan Kandy K2 amp review

Best stereo amp £700-£1000, Awards 2011. The best all-rounder we've heard below the grand mark - this Kandy really is sweet

Brilliant all-round sound ; unfussy with partnering equipment and music ; great build

The distinctive new look means it won’t be a good visual match with third-party components

Roksan Kandy K2 speakers

The last piece of the Kandy puzzle is here, and these K2 speakers are absolute stunners

Produce sound with stunning integrity, honesty and excitement ; great looks and build ; wonderful flexibility

Some may hanker for a bit more bass ; is it really necessary to have two logos

Roksan Kandy K2

The Kandy K2 is well worth a listen, but competition is tough

Refined sound ; good detail, timing and dynamics ; well made ; fine remote

Quality of competition ; cluttered display ; cramped controls

Roksan Kandy K2 BT

A delivery packed with power and punch, but some of the heart and soul is missing

Powerful and punchy ; Delivers big dynamics ; Loads of detail ; Integrated Bluetooth

Lacks a little subtlety ; Imperfect timing

In fact, “strong” is a good word to use in relation to the Kandy K2 BT. The amount of power it has got and the way it uses that to create punch and massive dynamic shifts are very rare at this price, and there are some who will love the amp just for that.

Roksan Kandy K2 - £899

With a highly competitive price tag, Roksan pushes all the right buttons on this fine player

Rhythmically top-notch and generally full of life and verve

Just a shade light in the lower midrange and bass could be better controlled

An excellent all-rounder, this player makes the most of any music

Roksan Kandy K2

It has a high quality front panel made from an impressively-thick chunk of aluminium with an overtly styled shiny section offering a design key with stacked members of the K2 family. Sitting beside other brands, the size of the Kandy makes it the one...

Plus points Good open sound, natural and capable of bringing front line instruments and vocals to the fore with an accurate sound stage. Good impact without over-emphasis and ability to impressively characterise without addition or subtraction. Added...

Display looks a bit like a far-eastern throwback

Roksan Kandy K2 Amplifier

Plenty of line inputs; easy to install and operate

No control over impedance matching, e.g for electrostatic speakers. No balance control for rooms with tricky acoustics (like mine). No optical input. The instructuin manual was not sufficiently user friendly, nor comprehensive.
