like all manuals, if your not tec savvy you'll be spending a lot of time on the phone with customer service.

the soundfields are pretty much worthless. unless you like echo chambers. i had problems figureing out the manual untill i started reading the fine print footnotes. hooking up the on screen programing should be simpler to understand

Hair tigger circuit breaker

Power circuit breaker has a hair trigger, which I think is a serious flaw.

Feature rich. Easy set-up. iPod docking works great. Good sound quality. Great value

I ordered this through Newegg.Ca Received the item within 3 days and that included free shipping. On all my purchases so far, the service from Newegg.Ca has been excellent.

Great HT Receiver, for the price, has excellent performance and many useful value loaded features ; Has all the latest Loss less audio codec decoding (Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD MA) ; Other useful feature is XV color, (Ability to provide deep rich colors) ;...

The only minor quibble that I have is the OSD display only works via composite or component cable. Not really a big deal

Nice

This might just be incompatibility, but i couldnt get the remote codes to work for a Philips dvd player or Sharp lcd tv.

ipod hook-up is nice, you can browse the contents on the tv. has plenty of power to satisfy anyone. im a big pioneer fan from the beginning, but this reciever is quite nice for the dollar

hdmi ports are only a repeater, reciever cant convert video into the hdmi output, have to hook up composite video cable also

Audio Issues

Beware the HD audio issues and the very rude and poor support from Pioneer.

This unit has auto-setup of the speaker system, plays music from a USB memory stick, has two HDMI inputs that support audio through the HDMI cable

more than a budget a/v receiver

this thing puts out incredible sound and power. if you're thinking of buying it, save yourself some cash and pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed.

plug and play ; this thing does everything and more than i need it to ; have it hooked up to my htpc and everything runs flawlessly. decodes hd audio from my blu-ray drive, support for both dts-ma and dolby truehd
