Patriot PBO

Would not recommend this product to anyone, anywhere.

Sleek look

Most expensive paper weight I have ever purchased ; It connects to my media center and then locks up. Unplug the unit and try again = maybe a little further, maybe not but same result; it locks up attaching to the MC. No problems accessing the MC from...

Not supported, dont work

I was very disappointed with this player. After having a core player for a few years it was a big let down. Read patriots forums before you buy. Ive built a Raspberry Pi for a lot less that does more. This is the lowest rating I have ever given.

Plays many formats

This could be a good player but it is not properly supported by Patriot ; Their last media player PBO core is a great player do not confuse this one with that. The firmware is junk and not being developed. My unit will not even keep the date or time...

Patriot PCMPBOA

I have a feeling that this item is a work in progress and as the updates keep coming more options will become available. Not a bad starter since there are so few devices that will let you play, view and listen from your own collection and yet still...

First thing to mention. There is an update on the website for patriot to update to 3.0 firmware. Which solves a good portion of the bugs with the unit. I purchased the unit and received two remotes the small one in the images and a larger more user...

The only con I can think of is when watching a video there is an option for subtitles on the larger remote but it does nothing and the media players info such as volume or pause/play icons do not always disappear on there own

Too many problems

I replaced my Asus O!Play with this, and what a mistake that was. My family constantly complained about how slow and difficult to use it was - and of course I was thinking the same. After 6 months of waiting for a firmware update, I finally gave up and...

Nothing worth mentioning

Downright horrible device to use

What a piece of garbage

To sum it up to all future potential buyers and supporters of the Patriot brand, avoid this unit at all cost. Given the name Patriot that I have entrusted when it comes to quality product from various USB drives and memory that I have purchased in the...

Android OS 2.2, played FLV files where my WD media player couldn't play, USB 3.0

Wireless support, Tech support, firmware still in beta, development delay, bad communication on support forum, lack of commitment from the company to fix all the issues with this unit

HDMI Media player with Android

If it has the classic, R/W/Y (audio/Video), connection is better. If it can has one more USB connection is better to connect 2 HD and on keyborad. Has build-in WIFI as option purchase is good.

Good video performance ; has 64x fastforward ; Play lots of Vidoe formats with subtitle ; Build-in Youtube ; Anfroid

Remote control too small, not user friendly ; Sometime has a 1-2 secound blackout when playing the RMVB Format ; No Display function to check the current play video ; No GOTO function to the tie of the video ; Cannot control the Subtitle attribute,...

Patriot PCMPBOA

Solid, straightforward UI ; Excellent video performance ; Plays ANYTHING you throw at it ; Android OS

The remote is not well-designed. About the size of a credit card and not much thicker. Buttons are laid out so that you have to be looking at the thing to work with it ; No quick replay (i.e. go back a few seconds and play that scene again). Hopefully...

Shoddy Construction

Hopefully Newegg sends out a replacement that doesnt sound like someone through the piece of hardware against a wall as hard as they can.

None so far

As soon as I removed the media player from the box I noticed a lot of rattling sounds as if there were several broken pieces inside of the player loosely banging around inside the box

Nice!

Looking forward to installing applications and to seeing what is developed for this in the future.

Great full featured Android based All-In-One media player. This thing will play pretty much anything you throw at it, whether it comes from a media share on your network, a memory card, or usb stick/device. It does it at 1080p. It also has ability to...

Remote is a tactile buttons and is very awkward to use. It appears to be proprietary in design and would not teach my universal learning remote. Functionality improved with a flash update from manufacturer's website. Such a nice device needs a better...
