Performance

 

Panasonic SA-XR45

Low-slung design; six-channel, 100-watt all-digital amplifier; component-video switching; 5.1-channel SACD/DVD-Audio inputs; second-zone line outputs; remote subwoofer-level control.

Feels a little underpowered.

Most receivers look awfully ordinary next to this sleek Panasonic.

Slim and stylish with great sound quality

 

I have been very pleased with this unit and have not found anything as flexible that sounds nearly as good at the price. I believe it has now been replaced by the SA-XR50 which if the specs are anything to go is a marginally improved version in a...

I have been using this model for almost a year without any problems. It is a 'full digital' amplifier (if that floats your boat) so any analogue inputs are converted to digital before being amplified ; I find the sound quality very good - a real step...

Not nearly as powerful as the 100 watt per channel spec suggests. The sound hardens up considerably in the treble if you push it very hard - but that said, it drives my 85dB/w speakers to neighbour annoying volumes before the sound becomes unacceptably...
