You could spend more, but why!!

Inexpensive, but very good performer with plenty of power. I created my own 5:1 system and it will rock the room easily. Don't buy into the hype and spend $1,000 for a receiver just so folks will see it and say you are some kind of true audiofile....

Price, durability, features, reliabity, value not hype

Inexpensive but a true performer!

I was skeptical about the TX-SR304 since I only paid $99 on sale at Fry's. Right now it serves as my front room receiver to provide two channel stereo to two Polk Lsi-7 speakers. A Carver D12 sub woofer supplements the bass.

Basic function at a low price

I purchased this unit for under $200 at a local box store. My requirements were simple; find a suitable replacement for an aging and malfunctioning 10-year old first generation Dolby Digital receiver. I run a 5.1 speaker setup at home for my 60" Sony...

Inexpensive and versatile, can hold its own with today's technology

Quirky switching on optical inputs, odd remote control issue, only fair quality sound
