An amazing array of features and functionality is supported by, possibly, the most bombastic audio performance ever provided by a sub-£1k AV receiver

At times, its pure aggression can be a tad overbearing - especially if you're trying to settle down to a lightly-paced drama or romcom

Music too is treated with delicacy and brutal assault in equal measures. There isn't a song we've found that hasn't been improved by the 808's handling. Even Jedward's album turns from a turgid, pointless abuse of the human ear into a turgid, pointless...

Looks good sounds good

It breaks with a known fault that Onkyo have not acknowledged. The device is now un-usable...

Sounds and looks superb, it's HDMI 1.4-tastic, the receiver brings the world to your living room and the love just grows and grows.

None discovered after two months constant use.

superb sound quality and power. head and shoulders above other products and definately worth purchasing. All I need now is more speakers. I have it linked to Teufel M 520f speakers and truely the sound has crystal clear sounds and deep but restrained...

still having problems setting up surround sound, however I need to perhaps buy speakers that will match in terms of power output and ohms.

As good as my previous pioneer which cost three times as much!

Very capable receiver, easy to set up, great sound and video

after about 2.5 years the sound board suddenly quite functioning
