Good Quality for the Price

Two-channel Ampliers are great for audiophile. Except for the Audiosource preamp, I bought everything at NewEgg. They should carry preamps in their stock. Consider Onkyo Intergrated stereo amplifier.

I used with Sony multiformat DVD player, Audiosource pre-amp, Sangean digital tuner and Polk Audio floor speakers and powered subwoofer. I am very pleased with its great crisp sound. There are no static interference and no noise distortion

None so far

Ouch

Clean sound and auto on feature

Burned up/shorted out after three weeks. The replacement that Newegg sent simply did not power up after one week. I'm 0 for 2

Onkyo M-282

What a fantastic amplifier for the price! I'm using these amplifiers to bi-amp my Swan Diva 6.2 speakers. The sound is crisp clean with zero hum or distortion. They do run warm, which is expected, but by no means do they get hot. Adding an external fan...

The is a solid, clean amplifier at a great price point

They do get warm to the toch, but not hot - I would suggest running an extra fan for insurance

Good Value

I'm using this to power a pair of outdoor speakers and it works great. Good sound and plenty of power. It's a very good value. My only complaint (small) is that it's hard to tell by the power indicator if the amp is in standby.

Good Power, Easy To Set Up, Clean Sound

Onkyo M282

I have been using this amplifier for more than 3 years and I don't have any complaints so far. I have compared it with a solid state class A amplifier I built, and this one is probably as good. Since then I have relied exclusively on this little guy.

I listen only to classical music on CDs and DVD-audio.

Spartan yet elegant: Form follows function

[First update: August 2, 2005] If the sound ramps up very slowly at the beginning of a recording, you can miss the first few seconds. Ergo the signal-detection circuit seems not to be especially sensitive.

Sturdily-assembled all-metal case, obvious attention to quality control, line-level

Only powers one speaker pair; smallish capacitors; less-than-staggering damping factor

m-282.2 hearing is believing.

i was on a mission to find an in-expensive amp for my home theater and i decided to look at what Onkyo had to offer along with there recievers and low and behold the m282.2 was the only amp they had, so i did some research and read good things about...

great build, clean sound, snap to hook-up
