I find the operation and instructions confusing

Good sturdy build, nice finish, connections easy to make, nice simple instruction manual. Goes very loud.

Despite its top ratings in hi-fi magazines as a top quality amplifier, this Marantz amp just failed to impress. The bass was certainly in evidence - even with the tone defeat switch on - but seemed artificial. The treble seemed lacking too, and...

The main aspect was the provider of the equipment was excellent. The second is the amp itself is sturdy, easy to use and delivers what I need at the ripe old age of 59 now that my treble respnse is a tad poorer than 40 years ago.

Crisp, clear sound.

The input changer is a dial of exactly the same size as the volume control button. This leads to one repeatedly changing the input from CD to, say, Tuner, when all one wishe to do is increse/reduce volume.

Does everything an amp should do and I was impressed with the sound quality, especially at the price. It was bought for my workplace, which isn't an ideal listening area, to replace a TEAC amp of a similar value, which was damaged by a faulty aircon...
