Denon AVR-E400 review: A somewhat simpler AV receiver at a cost

Denon's AVR-E400 makes some progress simplifying the arduous AV receiver setup process, but it lacks convenient wireless features you'd expect at this price.

Denon E-Series Receivers Preview

With budget offerings, it is always important to know what features you'll need versus those you just want. With the new E series from Denon, you have quite a few choices.

Denon AVR-E400 AV Receiver

Audio Performance Video Performance Features

The Denon AVR-E400 reminded me that I’m a guy who gets excited about speaker terminals. Make of that what you will.

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Pricey, but full-featured receiver with easy setup.

I have owned a sizable number of home theater amps over the past 18 years: 1 Sony; 3 Harman Kardon's; 4 Yamaha's; & 3 Denon's. The Denon AVR-E400 is my 12th receiver, and arguably the most technologically advanced and full-featured, though not the best...

Excellent sound Great internet and network audio streaming capabilities Easy setup and operation Lot of inputs and outputs
