This radio has a digital tuner, but the AM is off about 40 or 50 khz as displayed. Signal reception is poor.

good dual use radio

I use it at home. I can't get rid of a slight background static. Moving the antenna doesn't seem to affect it. I can still use the radio OK but I expected the sound quality to be better.

This product is to use in my boat. With automatic weather advisories it is great.

This is a great portable for use during power outages. The NOAA feature is quite valuable for severe weather warnings. I recommend this radio highly to anyone who wants a full-featured portable radio.

I had to put two coins in the battery compartment to make the radio work. I still don't understand why the radio shuts down completly when I plug the AC out wire in back, and the radio has to be completely reset.

I keep this radio on my bedside table and use it every night. All I need is a small am/fm radio. Most of the radios I found were way too big and had options I didn't need (CD, MP3, HD, nature sounds, etc.) It has great reception and is easy to program....

Static on all stations. Either defective or of the poorest quality. Big disappointment, returned radio to manufacturer. Will not buy anything but small items (batteries, cords, etc.) from Radio Shack again. No faith in company.

Good overall radio with a lot of features that would cost twice as much to get on other radios.
