Best music system £400-£800, Awards 2015. Overall this is a terrific streaming system. It's more than good enough to give Marantz's Melody Media M-CR610 a real fright when it comes to sound
Great sound ; strong dynamics ; aptX Bluetooth ability ; Strong on-board DAC
Doesn’t play files over 24-bit/96kHz ; The control app could be better

The Cambridge Audio Minx Xi is a micro system for the 21st Century. Just add speakers.
Sounds great for the money ; Feature packed – you can play most things through the Xi ; A well-built and stylish little unit
It won’t play high-res tracks above 24-bit/96kHz ; Could do with its own music apps
A superb streaming system that offers excellent sound quality at a bargain price

The Minx Xi is somewhat of an oddity when it comes to micro hi-fi systems - lacking a CD player, it is honed toward the modern wireless world. The CD player is not sorely missed as this mini system packs in Bluetooth, wi-fi, internet radio and music...

The Cambridge Audio Minx Xi is another winning product from the British manufacturer. It combines looks, style, flexibility and performance in equal measures, whilst the price seems very reasonable when you consider all it can do. The gorgeous design...

The Cambridge Audio Minx Xi is a wireless streaming box that has it all. Bluetooth? Yep. USB inputs? It's got two. Amps? Two into 40 watts (8 ohms). It is compatible with most formats. $899 MSRP.

The Minx Xi is a terrific piece of kit that does a superb job for a very fair price. If you’ve hankered after the likes of the Naim UnitiQute but can’t justify spending well over a grand, this Cambridge Audio system will give you much of that quality...

Streaming music is the next big thing in audio, according to many industry insiders, but the sound quality of streaming audio can vary from not even worthy as background music to so good that it drags you in from another...
If your Logitech Squeezebox is getting a bit long of tooth (Squeezebox products are no longer supported with new or updated operating software) or you want something more than a Sonos system, for $999, the Cambridge Audio Minx Xi offers features and...

UK-based Cambridge Audio has long made very well-regarded high-end audio equipment, but recently that's a market that has changed considerably, thanks to the advent of digital audio and online streaming services
Excellent sound ; DAC works wonders for Bluetooth or when connected via optical to a Mac
Wi-Fi but no AirPlay support
The Cambridge Minx Xi isn’t an impulse purchase for most at £600 ($899 MSRP in the U.S.), but it’s a big step up in terms of the audio quality not only for Internet radio and service streams, and also for connected computers and devices. The service...
