Sony VPL-HW65ES review

It might not be 4K, but this Sony projector is still a tempting proposition...

Immersive picture quality ; Fine detail and natural colours ; Strong contrast and subtlety

Limited connectivity ; Picture could be crisper in dark scenes ; Not 4K

An excellent proposition for film buffs who want a compelling, cinematic picture for their Blu-ray collection

Sony VPL-HW65ES Projector Review

This latest Full HD projector from Sony offers increased lumens over the model it replaces, but is that enough to stay relevant?

Excellent colour performance ; Very good 3D performance ; Excellent video processing ; Good motion ; Easy to set up and intuitive menus system ; Attractive design and good build quality

The most impressive Full HD projector for under £3k

Very pleased with the bright sharp image this produces. Excellent motion handling and Reality Creation enhances the picture nicely if used sensibly. Black level is very good and shadow detail decent. The Sony gives a very natural and filmic image with...

excellent colours ; low input lag for gaming ; quiet fan in high lamp mode ; dynamic iris ; loads of picture adjustments ; backlit remote ; excellent motion handling

eco mode unusable! ; 3d not as good as epson tw9200 ; no 3d glasses supplied

Excellent projector

Looks amazing and is bright enough to use in normal rooms without blackout. Picture is stunning out of the box. Also very quiet- PS4 is louder. Got excellent service from Josh and the team at Chelsea.
