Sony VPL CX20 projector

Sony's VPL CX20 is geared towards showing off in the boardroom, but does that mean a lack of substance over style? We have a closer look.

Stylish design, good picture quality, easy set up and turn off

Very noisy, tad expensive

The VPL CX20 certainly delivers what it promises and has the style to match, however the noisy fan will be an issue if you are expecting to run this in a fairly light room without being drowned out.

Sony VPL-CX20A Projector

Stylish and slender, the 4.2-pound Sony VPL-CX20A ($1500, as of January 18, 2006) is an attractive and compact LCD projector for business users. This model's brightness rating of 2000 lumens enables it to handle presentations in fairly large rooms with...

Sony VPL-CX20A

The Sony VPL-CX20A is a comfortable traveling companion, with a sleek physical design and welcome conveniences like remote-controlled zoom, tilt, and autofocus.

Reasonably light weight (4.2 pounds). Easy setup with remote-control of autofocus, zoom, and tilt. Sleek physical design. Two brightness levels. Includes carrying case.

Controls on the projector are hard to see and use. Audio is adequate for only a small room. No remote mouse control.

If you need a portable projector, though, these minor issues are outweighed by the Sony VPL-CX20A's convenience features like autofocus and remote tilt that make set up easy, and its light weight.

Awesome punchy sleek projector

Great little projector, can't fault it, just keeps going, easy to use, sleek and small, xga, 2000 lumens. Stainless steel outer body, remote control, discreet in boardroom or at home

Bright and user friendly
