Brilliant U won't be disappointed

Works well. Compact, easy to set up and use, sharp enough display. It's better with the WiFi USB adapter because the "display over WiFi" software handles display size mapping, unlike HDMI where the display on the laptop resizes to suit the project...

I'd like it to ship with a lens cap and cleaning cloth.

Fitted easily to old ceiling mount.

Noise... even on eco mode was distracting. We had the projector fitted to the ceiling above the sitting area and the fan was loud! This was to replace a previous optoma hd230x which was really quiet with a great picture. Also we found some issues with...

Easy to take around

Sound not very loud.

Small and light. Easy to fix to a computer . Sound not bad . Reasonable screen size away from the projector. Easy turn off and pack away.

Extremely portable. Much brighter image than I was expecting. Bought to replace my 12 year old Optoma EP 725 (blew its second lamp) and is every bit as good.

Can't get the in-built PowerPoint package to run presentations with automation (click to progress) in. Just gives me some bullet points already visible and will only move whole slide at a time, rather than bullet point by bullet point.

Good quality picture

It is a little bulky

Much brighter than we expected, works well in well lit office meeting rooms creating a decent size image for small meetings. Easy to set up and use. Excellent image quality.

Focus control is manual and very fine, so quite hard to get right.

Good image quality, lots of adjustment, bright.

Compression artefacts for some source material very obvious. Fan a little noisy.

On VGA connection, the audio connector on the multi adapter does not work. Does not have lens cover which is vital for a projector. Support from Optoma is worst. I did ask them how to use the 3D compatibility but have not received any reply from them...
