Epson - EMP-TW10H

We've reviewed a fair number of business projectors on IT Reviews, but not so many home cinema projectors. These gadgets are growing in popularity, so it's time to redress the balance a bit. After all, would ...

If you can live with the fan noise that inevitably comes out of projectors such as this, it's a nice alternative to a large TV. You might not want to use it all the time, but it's great for films and games evenings, and the multiple inputs add to its...

A flawed but inexpensive projector.

Higher than normal zoom, long-lasting lamp

Artefacts on S-Video and composite signals, very vivid colour, loud fan

Solid design.

Fiddly legs.

The Epson Dreamio EMP-TW10H is a good way for those on a budget to enjoy widescreen DVDs at home.

Epson TW10H

Not long ago I reviewed the Epson TW200, a mid priced projector that tried (but didn't quite manage) to compete with similarly priced LCD and DLP competition (namely Infocus Screenplay 4805 and the Panasonic PT-AE500/700)

Provided you don't push the boundaries on screen size and are prepared to spend some time "fine-tuning" colours, the 10H will provide you with an inexpensive step into the world of front projection.

Epson's TW10H projector tempts us to stay indoors all winter and experience widescreen theatre from the comfort of the living room. Read our Australian review.

Epson EMP-TW10

My first venture into home cinema projectors, I picked this Epson based on good feedback from the avforums site. I'm not disappointed, it's an excellent projector, easy to use, set up, and to my eyes, produces a great image in a dark room.

Epson EMP-TW10

Easy to use, quiet and with the different colour modes you can create a really good picture quality dependant on what you're watching. DVD movies look excellent using the cinema function.

The projector could be a bit smaller, but not a major problem.
