Cute, small design ; Bright, colourful pictures ; Runs quietly in Eco lamp mode

Below par black-level response ; Runs noisily in Normal lamp mode ; Colours affected by greyness during dark scenes

Epson EH-TW5300 review

Big picture, small price – but does this cheap projector represent value for money?

Well-judged colour palette ; Bright picture ; Compact, accessible design ; Runs quietly in Eco mode

Black levels lack depth ; Detail levels could be better ; Some noticeable picture noise

This budget projector delivers a perfectly watchable picture for under £500

Epson EH-TW5300

At the price I paid I believe this to be the best in the market within the £500 range . The quality is superb although I have only had it set to 100" there is nothing to fault at the size. There is a bit of fan noise but I have it connected to a home...

Light offset to the side of the projector is a little irritating when setting up square to a wall but this is insignificant compared to the positives. The good certainly outweighs the bad.
