Epson EH-TW420 LCD Projector

At under £500, Epson's HD Ready EH-TW420 looks like a great value LCD projector. John finds out if it is.

Turning to the TW420's quoted specifications, the good news includes a perfectly decent (for under £500) HD Ready resolution of 1,280 x 720, a slightly longer than usual claimed lamp life of 3,000-4,000 hours, and a remarkably high claimed brightness...

Epson - EH-TW420

When times are hard and budgets are lean, one of the first casualties is leisure. So if you've been cutting back on trips to the cinema, theatre, concerts and sports events then perhaps one way to ...

This chic, portable projector manages to combine Home Cinema pleasure with several other multifunction options but despite its versatility (or perhaps because of it) the resulting picture quality is disappointingly dark at times, plus you're hampered...

Epson EH-DM2 projector with built-in DVD player

It's never going to melt your eyes or ears, but the EH-DM2 delivers solid performance for the casual user.

We liked the genuine usability and adaptability of this machine. The different inputs give enough flexibility to suit the type of user that it's aimed at: general consumers rather than home theatre buffs. However, its lack of HDMI and limited HD...

Very flexible and a great pichture, connects to everything I want.

Sound is not too good but do you really want to use the built in speaker? The fan is a bit noisy.

Good quality picture right up the size scale, nice and bright so I can watch in daylight without a problem. Also good range of connections so I can connect computer, WII etc. Will play a slideshow direct from an SD card of JPG's or from a USB stick....

Sound quality is great but not much volume - who uses the speakers in the projector anyway? More serious is the noise it makes which interferes a bit.

A great projector for the price - being LCD you do not get the dreaded rainbow effect of the DLP ones

Contrast could be better and the auto iris is a bit slow but at the price it is fantastic
