BenQ W1400

A good projector at an excellent price

Good all-round picture quality, Good value, Runs quietly in Eco mode

Slightly hollow dark areas, High input lag affects gaming, Dark 3D scenes have a slight red tone

BenQ W1400 review

Best projector up to £1500, Awards 2014. An exciting projector that offers big screen entertainment for a great price

Punchy and vibrant colour palette Plenty of detail Clean, crisp and bright picture; Decent with 3D, motion and upscaling Compact, light build Easy to set up and use Good connectivity

Nothing at the price

The BenQ W1400 is an enjoyable proposition for anyone wanting to get into the home cinema market, but not quite willing to pay premium price. If you go up the price scale, you’ll get greater subtlety, a brighter picture and more confident motion...

BenQ W1400

Impressive greyscale after calibration, Very good colour accuracy, Excellent motion handling, Decent video processing, Great 3D performance, Sharp and detailed picture, Bright images, Lens shift for easier installation, Price

Mediocre Blacks, Limited shadow detail, Rainbow artefacts, Fans can be noisy, Some light spill

BenQ have been quietly producing a range of budget DLP projectors that can deliver genuinely impressive levels of performance, especially when you consider their price. Whilst single-chip DLP won't be for everyone due to the rainbow artefacts that the...

Fabulous projector but even better service from Richer Sounds

I initially placed it behind the seating area on a box - however, it was projecting upwards more than I could correct so a ceiling mount was required. This combo is heavy so I put a wooden plinth on the ceiling with butterfly rawl plugs (plasterboard)...

picture quality , ease of setup , 2d to 3d conversion , upscales from dvd , not as noisy as expected

price of replaceent bulb , fair amount of heat , little else worthy of note

Great bright picture but beware massive light bleed

My first move to full hd with this projector and delighted with the improved resolution. This is a great projector but the light bleed to off screen areas is huge. There is a large bright patch to the left of the screen created by stray light coming...

Benq W1400 projector.

Bought this projector along with a Sappire secs 240 screen. From Richer Sounds Middlesbrough. After calling and looking at 2 projectors one costing £1700.00 I went for the BenQ 1400. The result surpassed my expectations with a superior picture to both...

Great picture, but disappointingly noisy

After having an excellent LCD projector in my lounge for the last 7 years, I was looking for an upgrade that would take me from 720p to 1080p, and bring image processing up to date. I bought the W1400 after reading lots of reviews and after spending...
