Acer H5350 DLP Projector

Acer's H5350 DLP projector can be had for well under £500. Now that sounds like a bargain!

Connectivity gets the job done reasonably enough. I'd half expected not to find any digital video input on such a cheap machine, but in fact there is a solitary v1.2 HDMI, accompanied by component video, D-Sub PC, S-Video and composite video options. A...

Acer H5350 review

The cheapest DLP in its class packs a surprising punch

Cracking price ; Decent black levels ; Small footprint ; Runs quietly

Severe rainbow effect ; Some colour tone issues ; Slightly hollow dark areas

If you're relatively immune to DLP's rainbow effect, the Acer is an amazingly cheap way into AV projection. Try it out before buying

Acer H5350 home cinema projector

When a projector has a price tag under £600, you automatically want to know what's going to be missing and whether you are going to lose out on picture quality. Not so with the Acer H5350 home cinema projector. Projectors - once the privilege of people...

Compact, pretty much silent, great price

Some colour wheeling seen but nothing that distracted from our movie viewing

Projectors - once the privilege of people with swanky flats, high white walls and loads of cash, are coming down in price all the time, and this latest launch from Acer is indicative of this.

Acer H5350

Inevitably for such an astonishingly cheap device, the H5350 is not a full HD projector. But it is still HD Ready, with a pixel count of 1280x720 using film-friendly DLP technology.

Cheap as chips, small footprint, very bright pictures

Rainbow effect, lack of detail in dark areas, some odd colours, HDMI not v1.3
