A personal, mono laser printer with good, quick print, low running costs and wireless convenience. Are we there yet?
Single button WPS setup ; Clean, dense black text ; Better than average running costs
No cover to paper tray ; No single-sheet feed ; No high-yield toner cartridge available
If you're looking for an inexpensive mono laser printer for general home or small office work, it's hard to fault Samsung's ML-1865W. This modestly sized machine prints fast, with very little initial wait, produces excellent prints and doesn't cost...

As cheap and versatile as all-in-one devices are these days, not everyone wants to pay for features they're unlikely to use, and the humble monochrome laserjet still has a place in the market. Samsung boosts the range available with the new ML-1865; an...
Attractive and compact design, decent print speeds, excellent quality text prints, useful One-Touch print feature
Very basic, a little expensive considering the alternatives
The 1865 is obviously a very basic printer but it goes about its job well, being fast, offering excellent quality text prints and a useful little add-on in the One-Touch printing feature. If a basic yet usable monochrome laserjet is all you need, this...

Laser printers may have fallen considerably in price in recent years, but their size certainly isn't something that's seen dramatic reductions. The Samsung ML-1865W, though, is rather different.
The Samsung ML-1865W’s size makes it extremely cute, and its compact dimensions will prove genuinely useful for those wishing to save desk space. That it also offers Wi-Fi connectivity and decent performance, while costing less than £100, makes it a...

In terms of performance, it's hard to argue with the quality of the Samsung ML-1865. It's relatively pint-sized when it comes to printers, and though we'd like to have seen a little more detail in printed images, it does a sharp, fine job in pretty...

Recently I have been able to give my Brother mono laser printer a break from its day-to-day activity as I replaced it with a product from Samsung .

The ML-1865 is nothing if not compact. With its various lids and trays shut, it has a tiny profile that means it will fit on any desk without consuming more than its fair share of space. It also has Wi-Fi, which means you can even move it out of reach...
Small, light, fast, cheap, easy to use, high quality prints
A little loud for its size, no Ethernet
The Samsung ML-1865W is a simple mono laser printer that offers USB or Wi-Fi printing. Its speed and size make it ideal for small businesses, but the lack of Ethernet will put some off.

This is the Worlds Smallest Laser unit, smaller than most basic inkjet printers, the main differences are that this is of course only monochrome but the claimed printspeed is the actual printspeed something you certainly cannot say for inkjets.
The Samsung ML1865W is available from the link below for £69.99 including free delivery

Samsung has been making TVs and smartphones for years - and in its Korean heartland, the company even makes cars - but the speed at which the company has swarmed the printer market in recent times ...
Samsung's ML-1865 is a very affordable laser printer that's been unashamedly assembled to hit as low a price as possible. The lack of WiFi convenience may put some off, as will the flimsy feel of its build - but we'd urge you not to write off this...

A good performance from a mono laser that's as cheap as it it is small
The ML-1865 is just what we’re looking for in a home mono laser. It’s small and stylish, prints documents rapidly and offers wireless for less than £100. But it can’t quite supplant our current favourite - the Brother HL-2270DW - which is faster still,...

A solid but unspectacular performance from a mono laser that's as cheap as it is compact,
Having said that, we do like this compact laser printer. It’s unfussy and stylish, prints documents rapidly, and it offers wireless connectivity for just over $100. It can’t quite supplant our current mono laser favourite, the Brother HL-2270DW, which...
